Crowdtap Sample and Share: Old Navy Outerwear.

Okay, so I don't recall mentioning Crowdtap. Crowdtap is another word of mouth company with a twist. They state the following in their "about me" area of their site:

"Crowdtap is the network for Brand Influencer Communities. Crowdtap allows marketers to easily collaborate with and mobilize their targeted brand crowd of influential consumers for real-time research, collaboration or powerful word-of-mouth marketing."

With that being said and without going into a ton of detail for this review (we'll save it for another time). I'll just get right to it.

Back in October I was advised by Crowdtap that I was accepted into the Outerware Sample and Share. I was really excited because I had been eyeing up peacoats for some time but had yet to break down and buy one. This was perfect. I quickly received my "kit" from Crowdtap. A welcome letter and my coupon along with a coupon to share witha friend. I thought this was totally awesome as the coupon was good for any woman's outerwar item. I personally went with the Wool-Blend Double vested coat in black. It's a comfortable mid length coat that blocks the wind, keeps you warm with out being overly hot, and can be dressed up for a night on the town, ro dressed up for quick shopping trip in blue jeans. My friend used her coupon for a Cropped Wool-Blend in red plaid. No regrets here so far. Guess we'll wait to see how cold mother nature wants to go. 1st Daily Bzz has arrived!

Today my Root candles showed up. If you remember a couple weeks ago I posted asking BzzAgent to allow me to review this product. Well here it is!

A quick note...

Now as to why I WANT IN! I'm a mother of two and Auntie of four. I work full-time graveyards, and I LOVE Mtn. Dew. Let's just say a large bottle of water and a 1-liter bottle go to work with me every night. McDonalds Large Cokes are a quick pick me up when I'm out an about. This would save me enormous amounts of money. Besides how perfect would this be for a family party, BBQ, etc? I can see putting this to use over and over again. Updates on Daily Bzz

I think it's important. I'm sure you sometimes read this going okay I get it, you're trying to get campaigns. Well it's paying off.

I did get into Burt's Bees Campaign and it has shipped, I'm waiting for it's arrival. (I didn't get this as Daily Bzz but actual campaign invite).

I did get in on BuckyBalls, and waiting for shipping notification on it.

Minutes ago I received notice that I will be participating in BananaGrams.

So hopefully some updates on campaigns will be coming soon! Bil-Jac will be wrapping up sooner rather than later, and I can't wait to tell you what the end result is. Needless to say, persistance pays!

Daily Bzz: Manduka eKO Lite® Mat

So here's the skinny, or here's to the hope of getting skinny! This mat is designed to not only be eco friendly, but light and portable. It weighs in at about three and half pounds, and measures out to be 68 x 24 x 1/8th . Made from natural tree rubber (not the Amazon kind) and contains no PVC or Plasticizers. This mat is also Latex free, so if you have an allergy.. you should be okay. Cleaning this thing also appears to be a cinch. So why am I telling you?

Because I want in! I've been wanting to work out, but finding the right activity has proven difficult. I tried Yoga once on a all girls weekend (Which ended up as an awkward girls weekend, which is another story entirely). I found it calming and relaxing, and actually fell asleep at the end! Daily Bzz: Star Wars: The Complete Saga & My Bzz Updates.

So today's Daily Bzz is for the Star Wars: Complete Saga on blu-ray. Let me say this. I have NEVER watched any of the StarWars movies. I have learned over the years that this is extremly rare. Which I kind of find rather odd. I've never understood the excitement or hype around the movies. Seriously am I missing something? If I am, Bzz, LET ME IN?! Now that I'm 30, I'm actually a little curious as to why people are speachless when they rave about the movie and I act like a deer caught in headlights. Honestly the most I know about StarWars besides Yoda, R2D2, and CP3O (I think) is that Harrison Ford was in one of them, and that I played a medley in the High School Band when I was on the Alto Saxophone!

UPDATES: I am patiently waiting for my Burts Bee's campaign. I'm extrememly excited to try this out. Now that our season is struggling to change from summer to fall (here in Ut we're in the 80's for at least the next couple of days), I've noticed my skin isn't just dry, but ashy looking. So I'm eagerly watching my mailbox.

Bil-Jac - my dogs are LOVING this...and the cat still is as well. I have found that the suggested serving sizes are working for the most part, but my Lab seems to need a little more. The cat is still taking a bite or two out of the bowl if any is left over. The "no transition" is true. The dogs haven't had any issues switching brands. So far so good!

Daily Bzz: Root Candles

Today's Daily Bzz: Root Candles. So let me tell you about me and my history with candles. It's nothing dramatic, or tramatizing I should add.

Back in high school I was looking for a part-time job when I came accross a store called Candleman. I looked inside and that's all it was about candles! I applied and got the job, I worked here for about 6 years. SIX YEARS! I sold Jars, pillars, votives, tarts, decorative (non burning), essential oils, burners, warmers, wicks, and not to mention the numerous accesssories that would go with any of these given items. I became familar with a number of brands, and many who I can identify by name an recall quite a bit (come on give me a break, I've been out of he biz now for about 7 years!).

So I can say that there are plently of great brand names out there. But Root has got to be one of the most if not THE most popular brand for Pillars and Taper candles out there. Root is known for their long burn time, available textures, as well as a wide variety of colors and scents.

I guess we should now move onto, why do I want in? Well honestly in all the years I worked with candles, I was more into oil candles and jar candles. This was mostly because they were our most inquired about items. Believe it or not you do have individuals who are dedicated to a certain type of candle. Because of this I found myself burning more of these types to become more familar with the products and scents. I never really was a taper/pillar person! Now that I'm older I want something more relaxing, and I think that this would fit the bill! So please BZZ what do ya say?

• If a candle is burning unevenly, once extenguished and wax is still soft, use the handle of a spoon or a butter knife to recenter the wick.

Daily Bzz:Lunchbots

Theses are Lunchbots, I want one! I am a girl who is obsessed with lunchboxes. To be quite honest if my garage wasn't a complete hellhole right now, I'd wander out there and take a picture of my lunchbox collection. Yep.. You read that right. I went through a phase where I wanted lunchboxes. Metal ones such as old fashion Plaid, or how about a Dark Crystal one? Or plastic ones such as New Kids on The Block. Then in all my glory they came out with the novelty ones, that were small and bigger ones that I also had. I haven't looked at this collection in year, but there were simply too many. I typically carried them as a purse, and this went on partway through high school!

But now that I'm older, and my needs are different gone are the lunchbox toting acting like it's a purse days! I work full time and work graveyards, I get hungry folks! I want a "grown up" lunch box. Todays Daily Bzz : BANANAGRAMS! So I've never played this game, but it looks super uber fun! I've mentioned my kids (8 & 10), well I'm looking for games to engage them, and make them think. This could work! SO, after seeing this posted on BzzAgents homepage, I deceided to go visit Bananagrams page. They have won numerous awards which you can see on their website, you can also click on the ribbons they've posted on their site to read more about them. I will say I really "WANT IN" on this one. It's a game that I think my girls will love!

Yes this is random. But I won't lie, this is the first song that popped in my head when I heard that Madden 12 would be the Daily Bzz for today. In case you haven't noticed, random music pops into my head quite frequently.

With that said, I want in Bzz, I know you're going to hear the husband will love me forever line from many many women today. But I'm not married, but want to learn football. I like video games, and so do my girls. Besides my girls want to play this with their Dad, which would be great since he's leaving soon to temporarly move out of state for work.

SO SLAM DUH DUH DUH, DUH DUH DUH, PUT THIS GAME IN MY MAILBOX!

And now as to why I WANT IN!

Growing up I've always had dry sensitive skin, constant peeling and itching, which unfortunatly has followed me into adulthood, and sadly my daughters (8 and 10) also suffer as well. My oldest being the worse of the two is constantly slathering on lotion to keep from scratching. My oldest is also very selective because she has found that a lot of lotions due to fragrance and unnatural ingredients sting or burn when applied over the dry patches of skin. I think that this product would be perfect for the three of us to try as we all have different degrees of dryness and redness. Not only is it an adult POV but childrens too. So what do ya say Bzz? Bil-Jac ...part 1

I received the Bil-Jac BzzKit last week. Below are photos of what was received.

Ran down to Petsmart to redeem that awesome freebie, and got a $16.99 bag of dog food (6lbs) for $1.10. Yep, government & state still want their taxes :) I went ahead since it was on sale and used a $10 coupon to get the BIG bag for $33.99. Brought it home read up and started measuring for the dogs. A Black Lab and Brussels Griffon (or Wags and Ruckus respectively). I stepped away for a second and returned to see this...

Apparently Otis the cat wanted in on the action... apparently jealous that the dogs were getting a special treat!

Well now the transition has begun... well they say no transition needed. So I guess the dogs are jumping in all paws at once. We'll see how their tummies handle this... and the cats too!

I think my Bzz is more of a snore today. I work graveyards, I've slept 3 hours on my night off and go back to work tonight. Guess I should be taking myself back to bed.

On the Bzz front. Didn't get a Kindle 3 but am glad I had the chance to try for one. You can't win them all! :) But according to BzzAgent, there will be daily campaign chances everyday this month. (Which appear to be Monday thru Friday only). There are things like Blender bottles, Bodum glasses, cuisinart drink mixers coming up. Don't believe me. Go check out the website for yourself. Kindle 3

So my BzzAgent is starting "The Daily Bzz" a chance to "Invite yourself to new BzzCampaigns, 5 days a week". The first opprotunity... KINDLE 3! (Yes a huge picture, because I'm that excited!)

I have been wanting a Kindle for ages now. I am constantly buying books for my girls, and love taking books to work (I'm a graveyarder). However lugging books back and forth for myself is kind of a pain, and needless to say will ruin a paperback in a hurry! Since I'm a 1 income family of 3 my cashflow is a little limited so this is a purchase that has gone on the back burner. I'm going to cross my fingers and toes, say a little prayer, and HOPE that I can get in on this! If I do trust me, I'LL POST IT HERE, and photos when it's received! As you can already tell, I'm a little excited to do this blog, and really hope I continue to share the Bzz (both good and bad) and hear what you all think as well!

I said I'd try and post photos, so before I forget I wanted to post some. Again this is for only part of the campaigns I've participated in. What Bluufrog's Bzzing...

I figured it was about time. What time? Time to start "Bzzing" about what I'm trying out on BzzAgent. If you aren't familiar with BzzAgent, click and read what they have to say about the program. I think today I'll give you a slight overview and share with you what I've participated in so far.

It's also important to know you are never obligated to join a campaign, you can decline anything you are not interested in or don't feel is a right fit for you. Remember, ALWAYS BE HONEST in your feedback! I've only been asked to pay a slight fee for 1 campaign (this does happen on occassion but very rarely). I happened to decline this one as it was for a car diagnostic system, I drive a 2011 so I didn't really see the need since I can take it to the dealership.

Sometimes there are campaigns that don't post here because they are drop shipped from the company itself. Such as my Kingston DataTraveler 8gb flashdrive, or the iPad that was drop shipped to my house courtesy of Itemize.

I do believe that it is important to note that a few of these such as The Car's Campaign and COVERGIRL 50th Anniversary were word of mouth type campaigns, didn't get product for these, but got insite to what was coming out etc. It's also import to know that BzzAgent is on Facebook (See them here)

For my friends: YES, this is the program that partnered up with Itemize and allowed me to earn a free iPad 2 (No Joke).


The Facebook page Not only let's you interact with other Bzzagents and Jono himself, but also will allow you to get a heads up when new campaigns are going to be released or what up and coming campaigns might be. Jono also on occassion will post a giveaway for either a campaign spot, or leftover bzzkits (Such as the Laser Pegs I received).

Emails...

Reading your Bzzagent Emails are IMPORTANT!!! I cannot stress that enough. If you aren't checking your page on a regular basis, your email is going to be your most important tool in telling you when you get a campagin invite. Some campaigns fill up quickly so you want to be on the ball.

I think it's also important to realize, some agents will get a campaign quickly, sometimes it takes awhile. BE PATIENT! I love BzzAgent and have found it to be very worthwhile for me. They are constantly rolling out new things and new ideas. So be open minded as well! Trust me they want to hear the good, bad, and ugly. It doesn't matter if you're posting to a blog, tweeting, or spreading Bzz on Facebook, just do it ! :)

I hope that this provides some encouragement to join, and I would urge you to read up on their site for more indepth info and starter information. Please feel free to comment below, and I promise I'll try and answer your questions to the best of my ability. I'm also hoping to do a post later with photos of product I have received. (I don't have pictures for every campaign as I started snapping them when friends started perking up!)
